Simplistic evidence of joy and truth. Not an extravagant show of emotion, but a gentle smile as a short, vivid memory slowly crosses your mind. Perhaps, it's the image of an affectionate smile from an adoring lover; perhaps the reminiscence of a tender, simple caress across a most sensitive part of your body.
The realization that your mind lingers just a little longer, your heart beats just a little quicker, you desire to give just a little more. For the first time in long, lonely years you feel the need to try just a little harder. You finally anticipate the sharing, and it comes just a little easier.
Then, you sense a feeling of comfort and familiarity that you share with just one person. That person who makes you feel so very, very special, especially when you feel so inadequate. That person who focuses on the wonder and beauty of your personality, and willingly chooses to ignore the less redeeming qualities we all posses. That person who both feels and shows a genuine concern for even the smallest dilemma confronting you, when other people would see it as insignificant. That person who fills your mind with intrigue, your heart with love, and your soul with peace and confidence. That person you freely allow to touch you in ways no other person should dare try; that person with whom you willingly share your most intimate and private thoughts. That person whom you eagerly invite into your naked and yearning body to share your most personal lusts and secret desires. That person with whom you can share your wildest dreams and silliest thoughts, because that person sees in you a special quality of imagination that transcends the realms of fantasy and reality, and values highly any dream you're willing to share.
That person who will hold you when you cry, cheer you when you're down, calm you when you're angry, and love you in any case. What is the value of life when shared with that person? A value equal to the simplistic evidence of joy and truth.
